Driver goes MIA after car turns turtle along Bedok Road, case handed over to CNB

A car turned turtle along Bedok Road on Thursday (Jan 10), but its driver was nowhere to be found.

Responding to queries by Stomp, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the car accident at 8.40am.

Stomp understands that the driver was not at the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Stomp understands that the case was handed over to the Central Narcotics Bureau.

Stomper Anonymous contributed photos of the incident, showing the overturned car and SCDF officers at the scene.

Anonymous, who works in the area, said: "I heard from a colleague that the driver ran away."

A video taken by Stomper Repo Rter shows a damaged road sign lying on a central road divider and SCDF officers examining the car wreckage.

In photos and a video shared by a Facebook user in the Singapore Taxi Driver Group, smoke can be seen emitting from the red car.
