Driver gets punctured tyre, rim rolls away from car in MCE tunnel

The tyre rim of a car was caught on video rolling away from the vehicle and into oncoming traffic in a tunnel along the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) on Aug 26.

A Stomper shared with Stomp a video of the incident taken from his in-car camera at about 7.53am.

In the video, the car's rear tyre appears to be punctured and is seen threatening to come loose.

Sure enough, its rim dislodges and starts rolling toward other vehicles. It is seen going under an oncoming taxi but fortunately, does not seem to cause any incident.

The driver of the punctured car continues driving like nothing happened.

"The driver didn't realise his tyre was already punctured," said the Stomper.
