Man arrested for suspected drink-driving after car lands across drain at Admiralty Road

A man was arrested for suspected drink-driving after his car crashed through the railing of a pedestrian walkway and landed halfway across a drain at Admiralty Road.

A TikTok video posted by Mike Mike on Aug 27 shows the accident happened near a bus stop. Police vehicles and two tow trucks were at the scene.

In response to a Stomp query, police said that they were alerted to an accident involving a car along Admiralty Road towards Woodlands Centre Road after junction of Riverside Road on Aug 27 at 8am.

"A 26-year-old male driver sustained minor injuries but refused conveyance. He was subsequently arrested for suspected drink-driving," said police.

Investigations are ongoing.
