Poor lamp post.

A driver was arrested for drink driving after her car knocked down a lamp post at Tampines Avenue 3 on Sunday morning (May 28).

Stomper Theresa shared a photo of the car on the green verge of the road divider with its front bonnet damaged and a lamp post lying next to it.

Three Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) vehicles, including an ambulance, were at the scene.

In response to a Stomp query, SCDF said it was alerted to the accident at 11.25am.

It said: "SCDF assessed a person for minor injuries and the person refused conveyance to the hospital."

When contacted by Stomp, police said the car was believed to have self-skidded along Tampines Avenue 10 towards Pasir Ris Drive 12 before Tampines Avenue 1.

The 32-year-old female car driver was subsequently arrested for suspected drink driving.

Police investigations are ongoing.
