A driver and a passenger were taken to hospital after a chain collision involving four cars occurred along the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) on Saturday (Oct 12).

Stomper Tan contributed a video of the accident that was circulating on WhatsApp.

The video shows a BlueSG electric car colliding with a car on the rightmost lane.

The impact causes the BlueSG car to hit another car on its left.

The car on the left swerves to the rightmost lane and collides into another car.

Responding to a Stomp query, the police said: "At about 9.30am on Saturday (Oct 12), the police were alerted to an accident involving four cars along the PIE towards Tuas.

"A 29-year-old male driver and a 32-year-old female passenger from the same car were conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
