Driver, 65, dies after crashing car into tree at CTE slip road towards Moulmein Rd

A 65-year-old driver died after he crashed into a tree at a slip road along the Central Expressway (CTE) towards Moulmein Road on Tuesday afternoon (Oct 29).

Stomper L alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video she took as she was passing the accident scene at about 4.40pm.

"The accident had already happened when I drove past," she said.

"The Traffic Police were already there."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 2.33pm.

A 65-year-old man was unconscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries, a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
