Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Lawrence Wong hung out with an Oscar winner, the president of the Philippines and other luminaries at the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday night (Sept 17).
Mr Wong shared on Facebook photos of himself with Academy Award-winning actor Ke Huy Quan, Philippine president Bongbong Marcos and the Formula One drivers including Singapore Grand Prix champion Carlos Sainz Jr of Ferrari.
The minister wrote: "A night of thrills, spills, and champions!
"Congratulations to Carlos Sainz and Ferrari for their electrifying fourth victory at the Marina Bay street circuit.
"Thanks to everyone working hard to put this entire event up, as well as to the foreign dignitaries and overseas counterparts who travelled here to join us."
Seen accompanying Mr Wong in the grandstand was Manpower Minister Tan See Leng, who took over from Mr S. Iswaran as minister-in-charge of the F1 event.
Quan was also in Singapore to attend the TIME100 Impact Awards, which was held at National Gallery Singapore on Sunday as well.
He also attended comedian Ronny Chieng's stand-up show at the Star Performing Arts Centre on Sept 13.
