Delivery rider taken to hospital after accident with car at Sengkang junction

An 18-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital after he was involved in an accident with a car at the junction of Sengkang East Road and Sengkang East Avenue on Sunday afternoon (May 10).

Several Stompers alerted Stomp to photos circulating online of the incident showing a motorcycle lying on the ground and debris scattered on the road.

The front windscreen of the car involved is shattered.

According to Facebook pages ROADS.sg and SG Road Vigilante, the motorcyclist is believed to be a GrabFood rider and the Mazda is a private hire vehicle.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 5.05pm.

The 18-year-old male motorcyclist was conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
