More GPS art for the Year of the Rabbit.

Cyclists from the Mint Cycling Club SG Facebook group rode 58km to create a GPS drawing of a rabbit's head on the Strava app to celebrate Chinese New Year.

"That happened on Jan 14 with great-minded people who love cycling," said Stomper Ting, who was one of the cyclists.

"The rabbit head is hand-crafted and created by the Mint Cycling Club SG admin team for the members to have a fun and healthy ride."

Mint is a brand of foldable bicycles.

The Stomper said they started the ride at Kovan MRT station at around 6am and ended at the Punggol Settlement.

"The route included the Park Connector Network, pavement and a small part of riding on the road. All the members rode in a group to comply with the road regulation and avoid clusters on the road when cycling.

"We were organised in three groups with nine per group. Each group had a leader to lead the festive ride.

"Members were required to have front and tail lights. A helmet was a must to join the ride too."

Asked how the experience was for her, the Stomper said: "It was tiring during some parts of the road at the nose and eyes (of the rabbit) due to the up slopes. However, all the group members were very supportive and motivated each other.

"We managed to complete the 58km ride in four hours."

Stomp earlier reported that 16 runners completed a 20km route in under three hours to create a GPS drawing of a rabbit on Jan 29 to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit as well.
