Expectations versus reality?

A customer questioned the standard of the salmon cream cheese croissant sandwich at the Paris Baguette outlet in Jem.

Stomper Anonymous shared a video showing the inside of the croissant sandwich at the eatery.

"This was taken on April 16," said the Stomper.

"I asked the cashier to ask the chef if this was the standard of food that was served and they told me this was their standard: two half round red onion and two capers, which cost $10.90. The white thing below the salmon was creme fraiche."

In response to a Stomp query, a Paris Baguette spokesman said: "At Paris Baguette, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional products and services that bring happiness to our customers. We regret that in this instance, the food item fell short of our usual quality and standards.

"Following the customer’s feedback, our team has looked into this to ensure all our outlets are aware of the high standards that we set. We will also continue conducting regular reviews and training of our processes to ensure that all our customers receive the best possible experience at Paris Baguette."

The spokesman added that the company has reached out to the customer.
