A couple is offering a $700 reward for the safe return of their beloved pet cockatiel named Luna.

Stomper Henry told Stomp Luna flew from their 12th-storey unit at Block 156 Rivervale Crescent on Jan 22, the first day of Chinese New Year.

"She flew off after getting spooked and flew through a small door opening," he said.

"We are missing her a little too much as it is quiet and we do not even have the mood to celebrate because of how dear she is to us, almost like our daughter.

"My fiancee and I have been hoping she will return to us or stay safe somewhere out there or in someone else's home.

"Luna is quite smart, responds to calls and is curious about humans.

"She enjoys chirping to songs like The Addams Family theme song, as well as calling out her own names: 'Lunaaa' and 'Baby Girl'.

"A reward of $700 will be given for her safe return and we will reward those who have info or have seen her around too."
