Container comes crashing down at yard in Tuas

A container came crashing down on top of another container while a forklift driver was moving it from a higher level to a lower one yesterday (Jun 3) afternoon at a yard in Tuas.

Stomper Abraham was at the scene when it happened.

"The forklift driver was taking the container from a high level," said Abraham.

"While bringing down the container from the higher level to the lower level, the container dropped due to the driver not locking the container properly."

"It happened due to using an old forklift and also no rest for the forklift driver as only two drivers are working at this place.

"Normally there are four forklift drivers."

Abraham added that nobody was injured in the incident.
