Commuters on the North East Line (NEL) faced delays for over an hour on Friday morning (July 19) due to a track fault at HarbourFront MRT Station.

Stomper A alerted Stomp to the delay at about 8.25am.

SBS Transit first posted an update on the delay on its Twitter feed at about 8.10am.

Initially, it apologised and told commuters to expect an additional five minutes of travel time in both directions.

Subsequently, it told commuters to add about 10 minutes, then 15 minutes, to their travel time.

At 9.24am, the transport operator said normal train service had resumed.

Some netizens posted about how trains kept stopping for three to five minutes at every station.
