A passenger wished to express his gratitude to a kind SMRT bus driver whose gesture of kindness made his day.

The Stomper told Stomp he wanted to go to Woodlands Police Division Headquarters to make a report but was unsure of how to get there on Oct 7.

He then asked the bus captain of service 913 for directions and was advised to alight at Marsiling MRT Station before boarding another bus.

"When I was alighting, the bus captain asked me to come over and passed me an umbrella so I could shelter myself and not get caught in the rain," he said.

"Thank you so much, bus captain!

"This bus captain is one of the kindest bus captains I've met.

"He also always sounds his horn to get birds to fly off instead of running them over and always greets his commuters politely and makes our day.

"I hope SMR can compliment this bus captain."
