ComfortDelGro has given a warning to a taxi driver after he was spotted smoking in his taxi on Wednesday (July 6).
Stomper Edros shared photos of a cabby in a yellow ComfortDelGro taxi holding a cigarette outside the vehicle window.
The incident happened at Airport Road towards the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway near the Paya Lebar Fire Station
Under the Smoking (Prohibition in Certain Places) Act, smoking is prohibited in taxis.
Anyone caught smoking in a public service vehicle may face a composition fine of $200, or up to the maximum court fine of $1,000.
In response to a Stomp query, Ms Tammy Tan, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, said: "The cabby was found to have breached no-smoking regulations and has been warned."
