Chinese kid learns why you should never take bicycles onto escalators

You would think it is common sense to not transport a bicycle on an escalator but here we are.

An 11-year-old boy in Shenzhen decided to take his bike on the escalator -- and remain seated on the saddle while travelling upwards.

He soon lost his balance and tumbled down the escalator seemingly trapped between his bike and the metal steps before reaching the top.

According to Shanghaiist, the boys' parents said that the boy suffered an injury to his neck and that required six stitches but other than that was "fine".

Still, this is a good reminder to the rest of the world never to attempt such a thing.
