Update on July 10: The girl who brought the cat to the vet has posted an appeal for help to take care of it.

Original article: Stomper Kelvin is appealing for information about a cat that was left injured, with a large patch of hair missing from its coat, at Greenridge Shopping Centre at 11.40pm yesterday (July 8).

Kelvin said this cat could often be seen at the shopping mall and in the Bukit Panjang area, and that someone feeds it.

However, yesterday, he noticed that the cat had a white patch on it.

On closer inspection, he realised that the hair was missing from its coat, and it was injured.

"It was as if someone had pasted a sticker and ripped it off," said Kelvin.

The Stomper added that two concerned young girls called the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Singapore (SPCA Singapore).

"I am unsure what happened after that, but if you do have any information on this incident, please contact the Police or SPCA," added Kelvin.

"Why would anyone torture an animal like this?"
