Car ploughs into motorcycle making right turn at Pioneer North Road junction, 2 taken to hospital

A motorcyclist and his pillion were taken to hospital after their motorcycle crashes into a car at the junction of Pioneer North Road and Pan-Island Expressway on Sunday (Jan 15).

A dash cam video posted by SG Road Vigilante shows the motorcyclist making a right turn and the oncoming car ploughing into it under the Nanyang Flyover.

Stomper Wilson shared videos showing the police and an ambulance at the scene after the accident.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to a road traffic accident at about 8.40pm and conveyed two people to National University Hospital.

When contacted by Stomp, police said the 22-year-old male motorcyclist and his 39-year-old male pillion were conscious when taken to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.

The Stomper said: "All riders need to ride safely. Seeing the accident was heartbreaking."
