Car hits woman crossing road at Choa Chu Kang junction, police investigating

A car knocked down a woman who was crossing the road at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Avenue 6 and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 on Sunday evening (Mar 13).

A Stomper shared footage from his in-car camera showing what happened.

In the video, a couple is seen crossing the road when a car making a right turn fails to give way to them and knocks the woman to the ground.

The car does not stop immediately and continues moving as someone is heard screaming.

It is unclear if the driver stopped further down the road.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 8.50pm.

"The 21-year-old female pedestrian refused conveyance to the hospital," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
