Car hits rear of bus before crashing into tree and overturning along Jurong West Avenue 5

A car overturned in an accident with a bus along Jurong West Avenue 5 towards Jalan Bahar on Mar 27.
Stompers alerted Stomp to photos and a video of the incident that was posted on Facebook.
In footage posted on ROADS.sg's Facebook page, the car is seen hitting the rear of a bus before crashing into a tree and flipping over.

Video evidence of how the car overturned and NOT because of a jaywalker. The silver Toyota Camry SLM5148B overturned because of avoiding the parked bus. You can see that the morning sun was so glaring that the driver can hardly see the parked bus. The Camry driver wasn’t speeding at all but probably wasn’t alert enough. The Camry in this instance was trying to avoid the parked bus, swerved right, mount the kerb, hit the tree and overturned. Coincidently, there was a pedestrain crossing the road on the median. The bus also parked illegally along the road with double yellow lines infront of Jurong Police Division HQ. Pedestrian must thank the tree for shielding him from harm. This happened along Jurong West Ave 5 on 27/3/21 at 0730 hours.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 7.46am.
No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing.
