Car goes up in flames in Yishun

A car caught fire in Yishun on Tuesday (Mar 28).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it was alerted to the vehicle fire near the junction of Yishun Avenue 1 and Seletar West Link at around 5.35pm.

The fire, which involved the car's engine compartment, was extinguished by SCDF using a water jet.

A video shared by Stomper Tan shows the car engulfed in flames and black smoke.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
