Car driver arrested for dangerous driving after knocking down cyclist at Sengkang junction

A 49-year-old car driver was arrested after colliding with a cyclist in Sengkang on Monday night (Nov 16).

In response to Stomp queries, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a cyclist at the junction of Sengkang East Road and Anchorvale Drive at 9.40pm.

The 51-year-old male cyclist was conscious when taken to Sengkang General Hospital and the car driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing grievous hurt.

A video posted by Roads.sg shows the white car hitting the cyclist, who is knocked off his bicycle.

Police investigations are ongoing.
