Car crashes into market in Marine Parade, 3 people taken to hospital

Three people were taken to hospital when a car crashed into a market at Marine Parade today (Dec 9) at around 12.30pm.

The incident occurred at Block 50A Marine Terrace.

Stomper Raj, a resident in the area, took a video of the scene after authorities had arrived.

In a photo of the accident circulating online, the car looked like it had crashed into a florist stall.

In response to media queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at 12.34pm. Three people were injured and taken to Changi General Hospital.

The police said that one of the victims was unconscious. The driver was not one of the injured.

Of the three people injured, two worked at the florist stall, Shin Min reported.

The police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and three pedestrians at Block 50A, Marine Terrace, at 12.34pm.  

Police investigations are ongoing.
