A car caught fire along the Bartley Road East flyover on Tuesday evening (March 12).

Stomper Mike Lee was in his office building when he noticed the blaze at around 6.45pm.

He said: "I could feel the heat even from my office building."

In a video that Mike sent to Stomp, bright orange flames can be seen engulfing the car's front bumper before being extinguished by firefighters.

Two fire engines were at the scene.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it responded to the vehicle fire incident at around 6.40pm.

The fire, which involved the car's engine compartment, was extinguished by the SCDF using one water jet and one compressed air foam backpack.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
