Car catches fire at SGH campus

A car caught fire along College Road at Singapore General Hospital's campus on Wednesday morning (July 21).

Stomper Elford shared a video of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) firefighters at the scene as he was on his way to work at about 6.40am.

In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said it was alerted to the fire at 6.35am.

"The fire involved the engine compartment of a car," an SCDF spokesman said.

"SCDF extinguished the fire using two hose reels.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
