A car caught fire near Block 742 Bedok Reservoir Road on Saturday (July 22).

Stomper Fathurrahman shared videos showing firefighters spraying water at the car's engine compartment at a carpark.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it was alerted to the fire at around 5.55pm.

The fire, which involved the engine compartment of a car, was extinguished by SCDF using a domestic hose and a dry powder extinguisher.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fathurrahman said: "You can hear the police not allowing me to record videos, but I restored them as I think it's important to share. Such incidents are dangerous and we need to educate people on the importance of servicing their cars."
