Car catches fire along Upper Serangoon Road

A car caught on fire along Upper Serangoon Road at around 4.35pm yesterday (Jun 26).

Stomper Cougar said: "I was driving along the road when I saw this happened at the junction of Upper Serangoon Road and Paya Lebar Road.

"The fire was already extinguished by the time I saw it."

In response to a Stomp query, Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it was alerted to a vehicle fire at about 4.35pm.

"The fire involved an engine compartment of a vehicle and was extinguished by SCDF using one water jet," said an SCDF spokesman.

"There were no reported injuries."
