Car catches fire along CTE

A car caught fire along the Central Expressway (CTE) towards Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Sunday afternoon (Sep 29).

Stompers Michelle, Nicholas and Elan contributed photos that show firefighters putting out the blaze and smoke emitting from the vehicle.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the fire at around 2.20pm.

The fire, which involved the car's engine compartment, was extinguished by the SCDF using one water jet.

There were no reported injuries.
