Car bursts into flames at River Valley Road

A car burst into flames along River Valley Road on Tuesday morning (Sep 25).

Stomper Aurora was travelling along the road at about 8.25am when she saw the burning car.

She shared a video she took of the scene with Stomp.

The black car was seen completely engulfed in flames and thick black smoke was billowing from the vehicle.

In response to a Stomp media query, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman told Stomp they were alerted to the incident at 8.18am.

The fire was extinguished by SCDF with Compressed Air Foam (CAF) backpacks and a water jet.

No one was injured.
