Car and lorry in accident along Bishan Road

An accident involving a car and a lorry occurred along Bishan Road yesterday (April 24) at around 3.10pm.

Stomper Steven was passing by the scene and contributed photos of the damaged lorry.

He said: "The lorry drove right onto the pavement and hit a traffic light."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident, which occurred at the junction of Bishan Road and Bishan Street 14, at 3.12pm.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Just two days ago on Monday (April 23), a similar-looking lorry ploughed through three pedestrians near Yio Chu Kang MRT Station.

All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
