Bus mounts road divider and topples lamp post during rain

A Stomper alerted Stomp to a video being circulated on WhatsApp that shows a bus mounting a kerb and toppling a lamp post after crashing into it on the Seletar Flyover towards Yio Chu Seletar Flyover towards Yio Chu Kang.

The accident occurred at 8.55am yesterday (July 12). The Stomper said that she received the video from friends who saw it being circulated on WhatsApp.

The video shows the bus starting to drift to the side of the road before mounting a kerb and knocking down a lamp post.

In response to Stomp's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they received an alert about the incident at 9.05am. 

SCDF dispatched one fire engine, one red rhino, one ambulance, and one support vehicle to the location.

Upon arrival, SCDF personnel found the bus driver trapped within the bus.

They broke the bus window and assisted the driver out.

The driver was assessed by paramedics and found to be uninjured.

The Police said that at 9.00am, they were alerted to an accident involving a bus along Seletar West Link towards CTE.

No injuries were reported.

Police investigations are ongoing.
