Bus driver taken to hospital after ploughing through railing in accident with car at Sin Ming junction

A 43-year-old man was taken to hospital after the bus he was driving was involved in an accident with a car at the junction of Sin Ming Drive and Sin Ming Road on Wednesday evening (June 19).

Stomper Rohaizat alerted Stomp to videos circulating online of the accident.

In the videos, the bus appears to have ploughed through a railing and over a drain before coming to a stop. Paramedics are seen climbing into the vehicle.

The rear of a grey car parked by the side of the road is also badly damaged.

Responding to queries, the police told Stomp that they were alerted to the accident at about 8.45pm.

The bus driver was conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
