SBS Transit commences investigations after bus crashes into taxi stand shelter in Bishan

A bus crashed into the roof of a taxi stand along Bishan Road on Friday evening (Sep 27).

Stomper Den said he was crossing an overheard bridge when a heard a "sudden loud bang".

Photos that he submitted to Stomp show how SBS Transit bus service 58 had hit the roof of the taxi stand and damaged it.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 6.55pm.

No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing.

Ms Tammy Tan, senior vice president of corporate communications at SBS Transit, said: "Last evening, one of our buses hit the roof of a taxi stand along Bishan Road.

"Thankfully no one was injured as a result.

"We apologise to affected commuters for the inconvenience caused.

"Meanwhile, we have commenced investigations."
