Bus bursts into flames along Mandai Avenue

A bus caught fire along Mandai Avenue, near Mandai Crematorium, on Thursday afternoon (Dec 16).

A Stomper alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video of smoke billowing from the bus.

"It caused a massive jam along the whole road," said the Stomper.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the fire at 2pm.

"SCDF extinguished the fire using two water jets and two compressed air foam backpacks," an SCDF spokesman said.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
