A burst pipe sent water gushing out of a fire hydrant at Block 356 Yishun Ring Road on Friday night (Dec 2).

Stomper Kohji passed by the scene at around midnight on Saturday and shared videos of the 'mini fountain'. In one clip, the area can be seen cordoned off.

National water agency PUB said it was alerted to the gushing water at 10.26pm on Friday.

The agency told Stomp in response to queries: "PUB Officers and contractors were immediately deployed on site.

"The cause of the gushing water was determined to be due to a burst pipe nearby. The pipe leak was isolated at 1am to stop the flow. Urgent repairs were conducted to restore the pipe by 5am and minimise any disruption."

Members of the public can call PUB's 24-hour hotline at 1800-2255782 to report any pipe leaks.
