The ground was flooded with water at Hougang Avenue 3 this morning (May 3) at 1.20am.

A Stomper alerted Stomp to a burst pipe that had caused water to gush from the ground.

In a video shared by the Stomper, muddy water can be seen flooding the area.

The Stomper said: "I don't know what happened, I was just passing by when I saw this."

"I could feel the ground vibrating."

"I wanted to contact a news outlet but there wasn't one that was available 24 hours except for Stomp."

"It's sad that there's so much wastage of water, but it's good that the Public Utilities Board (PUB) managed to solve it within two hours."

In response to Stomp's media queries, PUB said that they received a report of a pipe leak at the road junction in front of Block 23 Hougang Avenue 3 this morning (May 3), at about 1.45am.

"PUB immediately deployed our service crew and contractors to the site."

"The leak has been isolated and repair works are ongoing."

"Water supply to customers is not affected."

Members of the public may call PUB’s 24-hour call centre at ‪1800-CALL-PUB (‪1800-2255-782) to report any pipe leaks.
