The fitness equipment at a Bukit Panjang park has not been repaired because of the delay in shipment for the replacement parts, said the Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council.

Stomper Max had complained of the lack of action after reporting the faulty equipment twice, the last time on Aug 12.

He told Stomp: "The fitness equipment for the elderly was faulty. I reported it twice via OneService more than a month ago, but up to now, no repair was done, depriving the elderly of using it."

The problem is a part of the skating machine is coming loose.

In response to a Stomp query, the Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council apologised for the delay.

It said: "Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council’s property team has conducted checks and activated the fitness equipment specialist team for the necessary parts’ replacement.

"In addition, we have cordoned off the equipment for residents’ safety. Due to the considerable delay in shipment for the replacement parts, rectification works are tentatively scheduled to complete by Oct 15.

"We sincerely apologise for the delay and would like to thank residents for their patience."
