Where did they come from?

The tyres of a GrabFood rider's personal mobility aid (PMA) was damaged by pieces of broken glass and nails outside Woods Square mall in Woodlands on Monday morning (March 27).

Sharing a video of the incident, Stomper Liao said it happened at 9.40am.

"There is a footpath going up to the mall where the whole floor was full of broken glass and nails," recounted the Stomper.

"It was very dangerous because it poked my PMA's tyres. We informed the building management and it seemed that nobody was bothered.

"What if it were an elderly person walking along that path. The nail could poke their leg and who is going to take responsibility?"

In response to a Stomp query, the managing agent of Woods Square said: "We would like to reiterate that the well-being of users of our space is our priority.

"After conducting our investigations, we have established that the clear tempered glass was not from our development.

"In addition, our regular morning inspections did not reveal any abnormalities in the area.

"However, once the glass was brought to our attention, we immediately activated our cleaners to clean the area.

"We are reaching out to the rider to seek further clarification on the matter."
