Boy gets knocked down by van at zebra crossing

A schoolboy was knocked to the ground after getting hit by a van while dashing across a zebra crossing on Tuesday (Sept 27).

A video of the incident was posted on Facebook and has since garnered over 73,000 views.

In the footage, the boy is seen running out onto the zebra crossing from a side gate before getting hit by the oncoming van.

He falls to the ground but quickly gets up again.

The driver exits his vehicle and appears to check his van first before talking to the boy.

While some people said the boy should have been more careful, most netizens said the van driver should have slowed down while approaching the zebra crossing regardless of if anyone was crossing it.
