Biker lies motionless in middle of busy road after accident on PIE

Update: The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said one person who was inolved in an accident on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) refused conveyance to the hospital.

In response to Stomp's queries, SCDF said it was alerted to an accident on PIE towards Changi before Lornie Road about 6.58 pm on June 8 and dispatched an ambulance to location.

"The patient refused conveyance," said SCDF.

In a video posted on Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road, the driver who recorded what happened can be first seen travelling behind a car.

Around the halfway mark of the video, the car in front suddenly came to a halt, prompting the driver behind to slow down.

As the latter changed lanes and drove forward, the motorcyclist can be seen lying face-down on the busy road. 

A stationary truck can be seen near the fallen motorcyclist.

The accident's cause and the motorcyclist's condition is unclear.
