Biker arrested for traffic and drug-related offences after speeding off during TP check

A 29-year-old biker was arrested for traffic and drug-related offences after speeding off during a routine check by Traffic Police (TP) officers near Block 188 Boon Lay Drive.

A Stomper alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video showing two TP officers and another police officer apprehending and arresting the man.

In response to Stomp media queries, a police spokesman issued the following statement:

"On Sep 13 at 4:06pm, a 29-year-old male motorcyclist had refused to comply with Traffic Police officers' instructions to stop for a routine check and sped off. 

"In the ensuing pursuit and while effecting the arrest, a 29-year-old Traffic Police officer suffered injuries and was conscious when conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. 

"The male motorcyclist was arrested for traffic and drug related offences. Police investigations are on going."
