Alert pillion rider jumps off motorbike split-second before rider and car crash along Tampines Ave 7

Shocking footage has emerged of a pillion rider jumping off a motorbike a split-second before the motorcyclist is involved in an accident last Saturday (May 20) along Tampines Avenue 7, that leaves pieces of the motorbike strewn all over the road.

In a video posted on the Roads.sg Facebook page yesterday (May 22), an unfortunate motorcyclist can be seen riding into the path of an oncoming car. While the alert pillion rider manages to jump off the back of the motorcycle in time, the motorcyclist wasn't as lucky.

According to the description of the video, the contributor said that the car had crossed the white line at the traffic junction when the light was amber. He added that the car had the right of way.
