Ah boy, if you value your life, please don't ever dash across the road like this again!

A boy was caught on camera recklessly dashing across the road right in front of a moving lorry.

According to the timestamp and caption of the video of what happened posted on Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road, the incident took place along Toa Payoh Lorong 8 at 2.53pm on Oct 10.

In the video, the lorry driver can first be seen making a right turn into Toa Payoh Lorong 8.

As he was driving past a stationary bus on the second lane, the boy suddenly dashed in front of both vehicles.

Fortunately, he managed to run to the middle of the road just before getting hit by the lorry.

Judging from a still of the footage, the young pedestrian had a white object resembling an earphone in his right ear.

Read a caption on the video:

"We strongly urge parents to educate their children to cross the roads with care, not to dash across the roads like this."

Said the son of the lorry driver who submitted the video:

"This boy dashed across the road without looking out for oncoming traffic. My dad was driving a huge lorry with 350kg of goods!"
