Don't cry just yet...Gong Cha to return to Singapore in a few months

It was only last week when news broke out that all Gong Cha outlets in Singapore would be replaced by new homegrown brand LiHO.

However, are we really saying goodbye to Gong Cha? Or is this withdrawal only the preparation for a new (and better) beginning?

According to Unison Capital, the firm that co-owns the bubble tea company Royal Tea in Taiwan,

“We just want to make clear to our Singapore customers that we are not leaving the market and we plan to come back pretty soon.”

In an interview with The Straits Times, they also promised that the comeback will be bigger, better and upgraded, bringing in more modern looks to the outlets as well as a newly designed menu.

Mr. Rodney Tang, who decided to leave Gong Cha and launch LiHO, sincerely congratulated Gong Cha’s comeback,

“The brand has a special place in the hearts of Singaporeans and I wish them all the best, making it as big as we did in the last eight years.”
