"High-explosive" war relic safely detonated by SAF EOD team

An Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) was found at a construction site along Woodlands Road on Sunday (Jul 29) and was safely detonated on the day itself.

After the discovery of the UXO, the SAF Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was activated at 11am. The UXO was later revealed to be a 15cm high-explosive projectile, following assessments by the SAF EOD team.

The projectile, a war relic, was safely disposed onsite at about 9pm on Sunday by the team.

A video posted on The Singapore Army's Facebook page shows the process of the removal of the relic.
