9 PMDs seized, 19 offences detected in LTA's latest operations to #CatchTheNaughtyOnes

Continued enforcement efforts by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) saw nine personal mobility devices (PMDs) being seized recently.

In a Facebook post on Thursday (May 30), LTA said: "Over the last few days, our Active Mobility Enforcement Officers (AMEOs) continued their islandwide operations at Ang Mo Kio, Aljunied, Balestier, Bedok, Pasir Ris, Punggol, River Valley, Sengkang, Sembawang, Tampines, Thomson, Tiong Bahru, Woodlands and Yishun to #CatchTheNaughtyOnes."

A total of 19 offences -- such as riding on pedestrian-only paths, riding non-compliant devices in public, and riding PMDs on roads -- were detected.

"#WeWillFindYou #AndWeWillCatchYou," added LTA in its post.

The authority also reminded users: "Do ensure that your PMDs are fitted with front white lights and rear red lights and use them when dusk falls to increase your visibility to other path users."

Members of the public may refer to LTA's website for more information on the Active Mobility Act.
