82-year-old man arrested after throwing books from Punggol HDB block

An 82-year-old was arrested after he allegedly threw books from a Housing Board block in Punggol on Monday afternoon (Mar 16).

Stomper Norainie alerted Stomp to the incident after spotting several police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) vehicles near Block 621A Edgefield Walk.

Stomp understands the man had thrown books from the block but it is unclear which floor he was on when he did it.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the case of rash act at 3.06pm.

"An 82-year-old man was arrested in relation to the case," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
