A 70-year-old man collapsed at the junction of Ganges Avenue and Indus Road on Wednesday afternoon (June 26).

Stomper Melvin alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos he took as he was waiting at the traffic light.

The man was seen lying on the road at the pedestrian crossing. Men were seen standing around him and directing traffic.

"I'm unsure what happened before that," said Melvin.

"The elderly man was bleeding from his head and nose.

"Two cars stopped on my left and three men were surrounding the man."

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp they responded to an ambulance call at 2.40pm.

"A 70-year-old man was conveyed by SCDF ambulance to Singapore General Hospital," an SCDF spokesman said.
