A 69-year-old woman was taken to hospital after she was knocked down by a car at the junction of Lim Teck Kim Road and Tanjong Pagar Road on Thursday (May 24).

Stomer Adrian alerted Stomp to the incident and said that it happened at about 5pm.

"This black car turned right without looking," he said.

In a photo shared by the Stomper, the woman is seen lying on the road and a man is standing next to her while talking on a phone.

In response to a Stomp query, a police spokesman said that they were alerted to the accident at 4.55pm.

"The pedestrian, a 69-year-old female, was conscious when conveyed to Singapore General Hospital," the spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.

This incident happened the same day a 6-year-old boy tragically died after sustaining severe injuries from being pinned under a bus in Choa Chu Kang, sparking concerns over road safety for pedestrians.
