64-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting woman along Short Street

A 64-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday (July 8) for allegedly molesting a woman along Short Street.

The police received a report about the incident on June 27, informing them that a woman had been molested by an unknown man earlier that day.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Central Police Division established the man's identity arrested him.

Police investigations are ongoing.

The offence of outrage of modesty carries an imprisonment term of up to two years and/or a fine and/or caning.
